Getting started
The first visit, and the two ways to pay for it
The first visit is the long one. We walk the house and write down every filter size and MERV, every detector and its manufacture date, every fixture you can't reach and the bulb it takes, the fridge filter part number and where the softener's fill line sits — then run the full first service on the same visit. That record is the reason nothing gets missed afterwards, and it is what the one-time charge covers.

Choosing
Which one is actually right
Take Autopilot lite if you have no water softener
Plenty of Las Vegas homes — particularly older builds and condos — never had a softener installed. If there's no brine tank in your garage, the biggest upgrade above lite is wasted on you. Lite covers the jobs every home has, softener or not: the HVAC filters, the vacuum clean-out and the smoke alarm batteries.
Take Autopilot if you have a softener or high ceilings
This is the one most homes land on, and it's the biggest single step on the list. It adds the chores that involve carrying something heavy or standing on something tall — salt hauled in and the tank topped to the fill line, the bulbs you've never once changed — plus both filters in the refrigerator door twice a year. If there's a brine tank in the garage, start here.
Take Autopilot plus if the dryer vent is overdue
Plus is Autopilot with two annual jobs on top: a full dryer vent clean-out and up to three bathroom exhaust fans pulled down and cleared. If you can't remember the last time either was done, or your dryer has started needing two cycles to finish a load, the $7 a month difference buys the one job on this list that is actually a safety issue.
